The Isle of Wight Marathon is Britain's longest continuously-run marathon since 1957, held annually. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 4 October from Cowes, featuring a single undulating lap on open roads through the quieter western side of the island, with approximately 350m of total ascent. The course is known for scenic island lanes and Solent views, and is a Boston Qualifier.

In early October, the island's lanes are quiet and golden, with the Solent glittering to your left and the last of the season's warmth lingering in the air.
