2027 Halstead & Essex Marathon - May 9

An undulating rural road marathon, NOT a pancake-flat course despite its quiet-lanes reputation. The route runs out from Halstead through Pebmarsh into the Essex/Suffolk border lanes, completes a 10.5-mile loop twice, then heads back to Race HQ at Halstead Leisure Centre, with around 250 m (about 800 ft) of total climbing over rolling hills. The final mile includes a roughly 400 m stretch on an athletics track; the rest is quiet, low-traffic country road. The course holds Course Measurement Cert +250m elevation
