In mid-April, Kraków's Old Town is waking up with spring, and running past Wawel Castle and along the Vistula in the mild air is a perfect way to see it. Afterward, warm up with a hearty bowl of żurek or a pierogi plate in the medieval Market Square, and take a stroll through the cobblestone streets before the tourist crowds of summer arrive.
