2026 Cornish Marathon
The Cornish Marathon is a hilly all-road loop across Bodmin Moor, billed as Cornwall's only all-road marathon. It is widely rated one of the toughest road marathons in the UK, nicknamed the Beast of Cornwall, with a savage climb to Foredown between miles 24 and 25.
In early November, the moor takes on a wild, atmospheric beauty, with golden bracken and low autumn light sweeping across the landscape. The route itself is the draw: run past the atmospheric Dozmary Pool and Jamaica Inn, then cool down with a hearty Cornish pasty and a pint of local ale in a nearby village pub, enjoying the quiet, off-season calm of the countryside.
