2027 Rome Marathon - Mar 14

A scenic loop through ancient Rome. It starts on Via dei Fori Imperiali with the Colosseum as a backdrop, passes the Vatican and St Peter's, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, runs along the Tiber, and finishes at Circus Maximus. Total climb is only about 55 m, but roughly 6 km of historic-centre 'sampietrini' cobblestones — much of it between 30K and 40K — make this a sightseeing course rather than a flat-fast PB track like Berlin. +55m elevation
