The White Peak Marathon is a point-to-point, net-downhill race on the Tissington and High Peak railway trails in Derbyshire's Peak District, from Thorpe to Cromford. The course is on firm compacted limestone and cinder, with a total ascent of about 395m.

The route follows the Tissington Trail up the dales to Parsley Hay, joins the High Peak Trail, then descends in three stages around miles 21, 22.5 and 24.5, finishing with a steep mile-long drop to the Cromford canal. The course runs on disused railway lines through the Derbyshire Peak District.
