The race starts approximately 250 meters before the toll booths in front of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge bus stop, crosses the bridge, and passes through Gülhane Park to Sultanahmet Square, ending at the At Meydanı (Hippodrome). It is the world's only intercontinental marathon.
