Victoria Falls Marathon
The Victoria Falls Marathon is a World Athletics and AIMS registered event offering a full marathon, half marathon, half marathon relay, and fun run. The route starts in Victoria Falls town, crosses the Vic Falls Bridge to the Zambia border, and continues along Zambezi Drive through wildlife areas, offering spectacular scenery and views of the Falls.
July in Victoria Falls means the dry season, so the falls are thunderous but the skies are clear and the bush is at its most game-rich. Between the race, take a dawn walk along the rainforest trail for spray-soaked rainbows, then refuel with a traditional biltong and sadza plate at a local spot before watching the Zambezi turn gold at sunset.
