In early autumn, Opole's riverside old town is at its most pleasant for a pre- or post-session stroll, and the Centrum Wystawienniczo-Kongresowe sits right in the middle of it. Between talks, grab a pierogi or a plate of regional Silesian cuisine at a nearby restaurant, then walk off the calories along the Odra River embankment. The mild, golden weather makes this an easy city to explore on foot, with fewer crowds than in peak summer.
