The course starts and finishes downtown near the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Delaware Avenue, then heads out to LaSalle Park and runs roughly seven miles along the Lake Erie waterfront past the Erie Basin Marina, Canalside and KeyBank Center, before swinging back through downtown around Niagara Square and the Art Deco Buffalo City Hall. From there it climbs gently north up Delaware Avenue to loop historic Forest Lawn Cemetery and the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Delaware Park, passing the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, then returns down Delaware to the downtown finish.
