Loop (over a mountain) marathon course in Fairbanks with 1001m elevation gain. A genuinely brutal loop trail marathon: from the University of Alaska Fairbanks the course climbs trails and dirt roads to the summit of Ester Dome, runs a short ridge out-and-back near the top, then descends a different return route on Henderson and Gold Hill roads back to campus, for roughly 1,001 m (3,285 ft) of total vertical gain.
