A flat, fast coastal out-and-back along Maui's West shore — only about +46 m (151 ft) of gentle total gain, with the highest point near 29 ft. Starting and finishing in front of the Outrigger Ka'anapali Beach Resort, the course runs south along Honoapiilani Highway past the turquoise Ka'anapali coastline and through historic Lahaina town, with the turnaround near Papalaua Wayside State Park before retracing the shoreline back to Ka'anapali.
