The course is a rolling tour of Arkansas' capital, starting and finishing on LaHarpe Boulevard downtown behind the Statehouse Convention Center, near the Arkansas River. It climbs past the Arkansas State Capitol early, then works through historic downtown and central neighborhoods, out along Rebsamen Park Road and the Arkansas RiverTrail, with a notable mid-course climb up Kavanaugh Boulevard through the Hillcrest district.
