The 2027 Avenue of the Giants Marathon is a small, remote, scenery-first marathon held on May 2, 2027, in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The course is a double out-and-back on paved park roads beneath 300-foot old-growth redwoods, mostly flat to gently rolling with about 211m of elevation gain. It is a USATF-certified Boston qualifier with a 6-hour time limit.

The course runs entirely on paved park roads through the heart of Humboldt Redwoods State Park, threading beneath 300-foot old-growth coast redwoods the entire way. The redwood canopy shades nearly the whole route and the cool, humid coastal air keeps overheating at bay. It is described as cathedral-like old-growth forest, with no city or big crowd.
